Annular Solar Eclipse 2012, Western USA

Annular eclipse
We know that many of our clients like to plan ahead and we’re currently finalising our itineraries for the 2012 annular eclipse in the United States. Later this summer we’ll have full details of the tours and prices and be ready to take bookings.
If you would like to register your interest in receiving the full details of the 2012 eclipse tours you can complete the Register Interest form and we will then notify you when they are available.
The path of the 2012 annular eclipse passes across some of the most stunning landscapes to be found anywhere in the world with the famous canyons of Utah and Arizona lying along the track.
As eclipse watchers we’re always in search of clear skies and the Canyon lands are blest with near perfect conditions year round. This late afternoon annular eclipse should illuminate the rocks of the canyon in a warm pastel glow of pink and orange hues.
Several itineraries will be available including tours of the observatories of Arizona and California and the National Parks of the region. Coincidentally just two-and-a-half weeks after the annular eclipse another astronomical event takes place, a transit of Venus will be visible in it’s entirety from Hawaii. Transits of Venus are very rare events, they occur twice separated by a period of eight years followed by a gap of more than a century before the next transit. Explorers will run a Hawaii extension to the observatories tour giving the opportunity to see both events.
